Willi Tigers 9U + 11U Rotation Policy

Our aim at the Willi Tigers Netball club is to ensure that all Willi Tigers in 9U + 11U age groups develop and improve both their fundamental motor skills and their netball specific skills/knowledge.

 

At Willi Tigers every 9U + 11U player will have the opportunity to learn ALL positions on the court in a supportive and organised way ... including sitting on the bench and supporting your team mates.

 

Whilst it is likely that players will have ‘preferred positions’ or be more comfortable playing in certain positions, it is important for player's development that they have a go at every position, building confidence as they go!

Netball Victoria Gender Regulation 
Netball Victoria has introduced a regulation clarifying the age at which males can no longer participate in female netball competition.  This Netball Victoria Gender Regulation came into effect on January 1st 2019.  The Altona Netball Association were granted an extension for implementation as the season was only half way through at this date.

The Netball Victoria Gender Regulation states that males who are 13 years of age (and older) are not permitted to participate in a female competition. 

Therefore, males who are 13 at the start of the season can not play in the female competition, if they turn 13 during the season they are allowed to play until the end of that season.
